Had a new thought: not only does New Zelda make me believe that an HD "Wii 2" is very close to release because of lack of screenshots (see previous post), but Metroid Other M looks really good. The screens I've seen, unlike shots from other games, does not have the blockiness that comes from 480p... It looks flawless, as good as, say, a recent Final Fantasy. comparing to screens from Conduit 2 above, there's no blockiness or pixellation. At all.
There will definitely be some sort of HD announcement from Nintendo this year. And since both Other M and New Zelda hit shelves later this year (August and November), it's giving pretty strong evidence towards an HD-capable Wii successor.
W(e/ii) can only hope...
